Generating traffic to your site can be a problem but pay per click can provide a very cost effective solution. This is still the most effective form of advertising even though there are many other proven methods to generate traffic. With very little effort, textual adverts are placed (sometimes with other companies) on other websites that get regular traffic. In the past there were many complaints about bills being run up by competitors clicking on an advert link but that is not the case. From a business viewpoint, pay per click marketing is extremely effective at targeting the exact market the business wants. People who see your ad are already interested in the product or service you are promoting.
One of the largest pay per click advertising opportunities out there is Google’s Adwords. All you need to do is decide which keyword term or phrase you want and that will create your advert when people use that term. When you see the results page on entering your search term, you may see the advert at the top of Google’s results or on the right had column.
These instant results cannot be beaten in any other advertising medium and it is that attracts pay per click customers. This is a very fast way to learn if you have used the correct wording for a particular advert and it is cost effective as well. This is still the most popular method of marketing because it works and most companies, large and small will use pay per click advertising as a standard method to market themselves.
